Happy Sunday everyone! ☕️As I collect snippets ✂️ throughout the week I rarely have a theme in mind but sometimes one will emerge. Three of today’s snippets are focused on fitness so I sort of have a theme going this week. Of course, I have balanced out the fitness snippets with some interesting food related topics. Speaking of food, don’t skip the recipe of the week—it’s a winter white salad! Happy reading everyone. ⛄️❄️
An Effective HIIT Routine for Beginners Who Are Short On Time
I love High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). It’s a great way to add some energy to a workout and you can knock it out in record time! This article has some basic exercises that you can incorporate into your HIIT training. Try some of them out in between your strength sets.
Tabata Pro HIIT Interval Timer App
Since we are on the topic, I highly recommend that you check out the free version of this app. Let’s say that you want to do five 30 second HIIT intervals with a 10 second rest in between, this app will help you to do that. Simply plug in your numbers and the app will tell you when to start and stop. I use it in my classes all the time.
Fun Forever. The simple Way to Build a Fitness Habit
My very first coaching client came to me and said, “I hate to exercise but I know that I need to do it so I want your help.” We worked together for a year to uncover ways to incorporate physical activity into her busy days. She first ditched her gym membership which was sucking the life out of her and found some fun exercise alternatives. My client and I recently reconnected after 10 years and she continues to exercise on a regular basis. The key was fun!!! This article addresses finding the fun in exercise as well as specific exercise options to consider.
Should Dinner Be The Smallest Meal of The Day?
When it comes to food and nutrition, the experts seem to focus on what we should be eating. This article does a wonderful job explaining when it makes sense to eat. I definitely learned a thing or two!
What are The Health Benefits of Nutritional Yeast?
Raise your hand if you have never heard of nutritional yeast! I was in this category once but I have the benefit of a Registered Dietician in the family! My daughter Maddy introduced me to nutritional yeast years ago and I use it all the time. Here is a snack that I shared several months ago that is loaded with nutritional yeast.

Cindy’s Stuff
Recipe of The Week 🍽️
I made this White Winter Salad for the first time this week and everyoone absolutely loved it. If you are tired of the same old salads, this is a delightful departure.
Cindy Sweats 🥵
This is a new exercise that I introduced to my class this week. It’s guaranteed to challenge your balance and burn those quads and butt. Give it a try!
